We have heard a few reports of Google Chrome and other browsers not allowing access to the HughesNet Gen5 Modem home page at

Some customers have said they have issues accessing from Internet Explorer, Edge and Firefox as well!

Here are a few solutions to try:

  1. Try a different browser if you have one installed! Safari (for MAC), Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Edge, etc.)
  2. Make sure you are entering the address in the address bar of the browser, not in a search toolbar such as Google, Yahoo, etc.
  3. Try entering instead of just
  4. If you are using Google Chrome:  go to chrome://flags and set “Built-in Asynchronous DNS” to “Disabled”, then restart the browser and try again.
