HughesNet Gen5 Jupiter Antenna Skew/Tilt Settings

The antenna skew/tilt setting indicator is directly above the long elevation adjustment bolt!  For example, the antenna in the picture below is set to -21 skew/tilt! You will notice there is a + side and a – side.  If you have an oval antenna such as the .74m, you WILL NEED TO SET THIS PROPERLY in order to get online HOWEVER if you are using the .90m round metal antenna, you will notice that it does not have a skew/tilt adjusment, and if you are using the .98m round fiber antenna, we recommend that you set your skew/tilt to 0 as it doesn’t matter when you are using a round antenna!

On both the .90m metal and .98m fiber antennas, the mark is below the nut on the left side of the antenna az/el assembly as you are looking at the back of the dish!

HughesNet Gen5 Transmitter Polarity Settings

The HughesNet Gen5 Jupiter transmitters have a polarity adjustment on them for left-hand and right-hand polarity!  Some Jupiter beams require left-hand polarity, some require right-hand polarity and some beams work with both left and right hand polarity!  The tiny arrow on the neck of the transmitter/LNB assembly is pointing to L indicating left-hand polarity setting!  To change it to right-hand polarity, you simply loosed the 2 (or 4 on some units) 3mm allen screws, slide the feed assembly out of the transmitter, rotate it 1/4 turn and slide it back in and tighten the allen screws!
